TSS Security Introduces Rolling Physical Intervention Programme For All Security Operatives
September 2010 saw a change in the training required for all new Door Supervisors coming into the Leisure Security Industry. The most significant was the introduction of the Physical Intervention Unit which deals with safely applying force to remove an individual from the premises while limiting the danger to both the operative and customer alike. It did not, however, include the necessity for current Licensed operatives to retrain and learn these skills which ultimately meant that different operatives had different skill sets.TSS identified this as a potential problem and in line with being the industry leader has commenced a rolling training programme for all the operatives to undergo a one day SIA Approved Physical Intervention Programme. In a recent publication of Style Magazine, The Sunday Times, TSS Security were named as London’s only legitimate Security provider after a spate of violence amongst unregulated and unbadged Club door staff.
